Hi 你好👋! I'm a designer-researcher whose interests lie in More-than-Human Design, Feminist HCI, and Critical Design. I'm curious about the tensions and frictions between humans and non-humans, including cockroaches, plants, artificial intelligence (AI), and smart devices, among others. I use design to speculate on alternative relationships between the human and the more-than-human world.
Besides, I'm an incoming PhD student at Machine Poetics Lab, Cornell Human Centered Design, advised by Prof. Sang Leigh. I received my MFA in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design, The New School, and B.E. in Industrial Design from the School of Design, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen, China.
Outside of research and design, you'll find me cooking, painting, reading, visiting exhibitions, collecting stuffed penguins, making ceramics and spending time with my cat.
(Not very) fun fact: During my master's study, I interned at Machine Poetics Lab where I will be pursuing my PhD. During my undergraduate study, I was a visiting student at Parsons Design and Technology program where I later pursued my master's.
