(How to pronounce my first name: /ywen neeng/)
I’m a designer and HCI researcher, currently pursuing an MFA in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design, The New School, in New York, USA. This Fall, I will become a PhD studnet at Machine Poetics Lab at Cornell University.
I received my B.E. in Industrial Design from the School of Design, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen, China. I am very proud to be a first cohort student of the SUSTech School of Design!
As a designer and researcher, my interests lie in More-than-Human Design, Feminist HCI, and Critical Design. Through a critical and more-than-human lens, I seek to reimagine and speculate about our daily interactions with technology.
Outside of research and design, you’ll find me cooking, painting, visiting exhibitions, collecting stuffed penguins, and spending time with my cat.
